We are a Start up Community Interest Company, similar to a Charity as we are non profit all profit gets put back into the Company. We are helping Disabled as well as the Rocky Mountain Horse by promoting their usefulness. We need your help with getting the relevant funding together please through for example registering with www.simplyfundraising.co.uk and picking us as your cause it costs you nothing as you give through shopping and the relevant shops donate a percentage to your chosen Cause. We did our Marketing and Organisations such as Barnardos are showing interest in what we are doing. We are having Special Needs Saddles made to ensure that the Disabled usually left out like the Quadriplegic and Amputees get to enjoy being as one with horses. These Saddles cost $4300 incl shipping from the USA as no Saddler here will make them. The horses have to be imported from the States too

Litt'luns Equine Rescue Trust

We specialise in ponies, mainly shetlands, and take in ponies for various reasons. We also run a rehoming scheme for those ponies which can be rehomed, and an adoption scheme for those ponies who cannot be rehomed and will live out their lives in our centres. Pablo's Horse Sanctuary

The sanctuary is named in honour of and as a tribute to a very special little grey pony. He was small, old, of no particular breed and had a crooked leg but he had the heart of a lion and the charm of a Casanova, plus a wicked sense of humour. Carole, our founder, has been rescuing horses and ponies, in honour to Pablo, for many years and in 2006 we became a registered charity. Currently we have over sixty horses and ponies, as well as goats, pigs and the odd sheep. For many of them our sanctuary was quite literally the end of the road. Our dream is to open the sanctuary to children and people of all ages so they can receive educational and therapeutic benefit from our lovely horses and vice versa. People can love them, learn about them and handle them - all under supervision. People with problems can often interact with animals much better than they can people and gain great comfort from them. To carry on our work and ensure our survival we need lots of help, with both fundraising and looking after the horses. Since grants from the Government are unavailable for charities like ours we rely entirely on donations and the money we make from our fundraising events. Options equine sanctuary

Options is a dedicated sanctuary devoted to the care of all its residents. All equines at the sanctuary have been rescued from terrible circumstances and most of them faced certain death. We currently have 35 equines at the sanctuary, and many more out on loan. Unfortunately with the current economic climate more horses than ever are being abandoned, neglected and needlessly being destroyed, we must help to save them. Most of the horses here have been recued from UK slaughter houses or from horse auctions where they were due to go to the slaughter house. We at Options feel most people are not aware that the UK KILL horses, we must help to stop cruelty in these places and stop perfect healthy horses being needlessly killed.

Last Angel Equine Defence

We're committed to alleviating the problem of finding homes for unwanted horses and ponies. Many horse owners who can't keep their horses, for whatever reason, find it difficult to place their horses in a rescue centre as they are overflowing and there is usually a long waiting list. If the horse/pony has 'problems' it will often be passed from pillar to post, or end up being sold at a horse sale: Something we want to try and stop!! We are building a network of foster homes and forever homes across the UK. We also assist and support other horse welfare charities and rescue centres both in the UK and overseas. We do this by providing them with: A helping hand to raise funds for their campaigns Spreading the word Assisting in finding homes for unwanted horses.

We urgently need money to survive these tough economic times, and the advent of the credit crunch will mean that even more horses are left abandoned and homeless, so your support will be needed more than ever. Sports Driving Unlimited

We believe this charity is unique in its approach, blending the exhilaration, excitement and adrenalin rush of sports carriage driving with the expertise of developing individual confidence, motivation and achievement. The result being that individuals of all ages, with mental or physical disabilities, gain the personal confidence and skill sets to succeed with all of life�s challenges. Currently there is no organisation that specialises in providing sports driving to disadvantaged or terminally ill individuals. Through active involvement participants will personally benefit from an overwhelming increase in self esteem and improvement in their personal development. It is widely documented that involvement with ponies has huge therapeutic powers in building relationships/friendships and strong personal bonds with everyone concerned. These opportunities will enable each participant to be involved in sports driving to any and all levels whether for fun, as a hobby or more seriously in sports driving competitions, competing successfully against their able bodied peers. There is already evidence to show that sports driving can promote: Improvement in motor skills, confidence, to articulate, to learn and absorb new skills; Improvement in the ability to engage with peers both disabled and able bodied; increased fundamental enjoyment of life!

The Long Horse Ride - £0.01

This is journey on horseback to bring a message of goodwill from Beijing to London and raise money for disadvantaged children worldwide. The ride is supported by EnduranceGB and the Chinese Equestrian Association. Our chosen beneficiary charity is www.schoolchildrenforchildren.org who are in partnership in China with the China Children and Teenagers Fund www.cctf-uk.org. Schools projects along the route of the ride are being identified to benefit from funds donated and distributed by these charities. In 2008 money was donated to the Dandelion school for migrant children in Bejing to purchase much needed school books. The first trial stage of the ride between Laolongtou where the Great Wall of China reaches the sea, to Badaling in Beijing district was successfully completed in October 2008, and we have already raised well over �3000. The next stage starts in April 2009 and aims to reach the other end of the Great Wall at Jiayuguan by the beginning of August. We are offering one or two paying places at a time to riders who will also be expected to raise money for charity. If you are interested in joining, please contact us. You can also support the ride by donating to charity via the justgiving facility on our website. The ride will use local breeds of horse suited to local conditions and terrain.

Animals in Distress Field of Dreams

Registered charity 515886 Animals in Distress have two sanctuaries. One deals with the cats, dogs, wildlife and the smaller animals. The other sanctuary Animals in Distress Field of Dreams deals with horses donkeys ponies, reptiles, goats, pigs, wildlife, birds of all types and feral cats. We have many equines who come from cruelty cases, neglect, retirered, owners that dont want their animal but cant sell due to the bad behaviour. We retrain the animals with bad behaviour and rehome where possible. All our equines are micro chipped and belong to the charity even if rehomed. We take all of our animals back if circumstances change or if the home does not work out right.
